A return to the fold.....

August 27th

Having spent the last few days packing and finding yet more things to throw out as well as more things to take back to the UK we are now in the process of cleaning the house so that our landlords can come in and smell the freshness of our endeavours. Our cases are packed and we are set to leave at 4:40am tomorrow morning, I have checked us in on-line and all we have to do is plonk our baggage down at check in and relax. We feel sad about leaving but looking forward to being able to return to safer ground in the UK where we can once more get on with our lives without the fear of coming back to yet another robbery, Police who will actually care and a process where you can call them and they will actually come to see what has happened and then take your statement!! Not the Spanish way of almost having to beg them to come and see the crime scene only to say it was our fault! I have ranted about this too much in previous posts so I will spare you any more outpourings on the subject.

August 28th

Disaster! left San Carlos too late... a case of me leaving V to "get on with it" without me "hassling" her resulted in us leaving 15 minutes late and then arriving after baggage check in and missing the flight!!! After a night on the floor at A's we made to the Business Class (Yes!!!) flight in good time and came back via Madrid.....
