Killer Jewels ?

It seems that I must be one lined up for a sticky end given that I heard a doctor talking about “killer jewels” the other day.  He was it seems, a dietician of some sorts and was banging on about the number of “killer Jewels” that were being consumed [?] by people.  Blimey I wondered, I have bought loads of jewels, worn some (not knowingly) and given a fair number away to Val as gifts!  What is going to happen I wondered?

Of course I am being really very silly now as I am really taking about those flaming food labels that give you every detail of the killer meal you are abut to eat.  Now as I sit here reading from this pack of rather nice Habas Fritas ( roasted or deep fried broad beans) I note that the 200 grams I proposed digging into now looks rather less desirable!

So this 200 grams has a nice concise list of ingredients stating that it comprises 84% beans, vegetable oil and salt.  That leaves 16% of the bag with what?

How about this per 100 grams:-

Energy Kj 1811
Energy Kcal 438
Protein 25g
Carbohydrate 43g
Sugars 2g
Fat 14g
Saturates 8g
Fibre 8g
Sodium 720mg
Now these beans are really nice with a glass of sherry or wine, or both, and are now consigned to the “treats cupboard” for another time when I am perhaps not so concerned about my heart and waistline!

Sorry, I have just got to have a nibble of these beans AND the “killer jewels” – I am going to stick to KCals as there seem to be less of them!!!
