The Bravery of Britain's Youth London 2010

I have to say how impressed I was this week watching the assault of the enemy position lead by such brave young me in the face of a much better equipped enemy.  The attack was fast and furious with no signs of fear as the advance force hit hard at the waiting enemy under covering fire from their comrades from the flanks and from those braver ones who had scaled the upper floors of the objective.   Amid a hail of missile and smoke the attacks pressed forward and the position soon fell.  Sadly it was only held for four hours before an enemy counter attack was able to regain the ground.

No, I was not watching fighting from Helmand province, nor from anywhere else in Afghanistan.  I was not watching real, truly  brave young men and women fighting for their lives against a determined and ruthless enemy of insurgents or Taliban.

No I was not witnessing the true bravery of our soldiers I was sadly watching the very worst example a mob braying like a pack of wild animals engaged in a frenzy of destruction.

The mob, yes mob, was our own  “brave” students!  Students rampaging in London because at some time in the future, probably when they have graduated with some noddy degree,  for a FREE university education.  Perhaps not free but they certainly don’t want to pay for what they learn, no they want the taxpayers to pay.  That’s people like me who have paid tax all our lives and get little of nothing back from the state for doing so.  In fact while State Employees demand protection for their pensions which I have to pay for still out of tax on my pension, students add insult to injury by expecting me to pay for them too!

I suggest that the braying mob of trash that attacked the police and wrecked a building in London causing over a £1m in damages would be well suited to launching some similar attacks in Afghanistan against the real enemies of the world and not attacking and biting the very hand that feeds then here in our country.

I was pleased to see that many of these useless wastes of space were named and shamed in the papers this morning.  I doubt they will be shamed given the warped and distorted view many of these so called students have of society today.

The 14th November is Remembrance Sunday many people young and old will parade in London watched by tens of thousands of people who be thinking of the real youth of Britain who every day place themselves at the doors or death and do so without riots, strikes an constant whinging.

It is those brave young men and women of our armed forces who will be of greater value to our future society than the rabble who rioted in London on the 10th of November.
