Football Transfers and “Casino” Banking

After hearing the news today lauding the huge record transfers fees paid for so called “heroes” of sport there seemed little in the way of criticism of those who seem to have the money to squander on these players.  We hear screams of outrage about bankers bonuses and casino banking, greedy MP’s and cuts in public services.  Yet we hear little about the actual players these days and their outrageous salaries that the likes of Wayne Rooney earn.  He has revealed he is earning £90,000 a week, no NOT a year, a week!  At the same time we demand that a Council Chief Executive should not earn £100,000 a year and no one should earn more than the Prime Minister.  Footballers, film stars and no entity so called entertainers are pontificating about how bad the cuts are and how unfair those cuts will be yet show little sign of cutting their own salaries of curbing their outrageous spending.  No, they almost wave the wads of cash under our noses while spouting anti-government claptrap for all who will listen.

It’s about time the working class stood up for themselves and told, not just MP and the government, but all these other “plutocrats” to reign in themselves.

If I hear another word about Elton John “buying” another baby, or some football “star” having to pay a poultry fine for yet another act of violence or some “B” lister moaning about cuts I will have to grind what remains of my teeth and hope for a mass exit by them from the UK!
