Revival or Resurrection?

Reading recently that the Goodwood Revival is about to take place again it made me think of several other “R” words, resurrection, renaissance, return or even retribution! So taking the words, "I'll be back" as the catch phrase associated with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which he first used in his role as the title character from the 1984 science fiction thriller film “The Terminator”. Then came the follow-ups:

Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Terminator Salvation

So what with my apocalyptical ending of this blog I thought, why not start if off again just like the Terminator. I know I never said “I’ll be back”, but I am, and why you may wonder (if you can be bothered).

These are pressing times in the UK (if not the world) at present and I have ranted enough to Mrs H about matters so much now that she has developed a technique whereby she manages to feign listening and nodding agreement without actually listening to a word I’m saying. It’s only when I detect a long pause after I have asked her a question that I realise that she has been actually thinking her own thoughts or even reading the paper or a book, oblivious to my ravings about the Public Sector, Unions, Teachers and the state of the nation in general. True female multi-tasking at its best!

I have been posting many of my rants on the on-line editions of the newspapers and even on the Huffington Post which is awash with so many ill informed “non-brits” that it is almost cathartic to attack them with unparalleled venom. Then to befriend them like a rather testy uncle and put them on the straight and narrow…. well it is fun after all.

I will be venting my spleen on many of my current pet
hates which include the whining public sector workers who are moaning about their pension contributions etc. But more on this later as this is only the re-opening of my old blog – yes, it’s resurrection!
